Your photo never leaves your device. You only share anything with us when you buy something, and then only what it takes to deliver it.

Building a mosaic

The mosaic is made entirely in your browser. The photo you choose is read on your own device and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. You do not need an account, and the site sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics and shows no ads.

When you buy the download

Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and we never see them. From Stripe we receive your email address and whether the payment went through.

To make your files we keep a short order record: the list of card numbers your mosaic uses, your email address and the order’s status. It is kept for 30 days, so the link on your thank-you page keeps working, and then deleted.

When you buy a print

Stripe also collects your name, shipping address and phone number. When the order is paid, we pass those, with your email address and the print file of your mosaic, to Printful, which prints the poster and ships it to you. The print file is the finished mosaic picture, not your original photo.

We keep the print order record for 60 days and the print file for up to 90 days, in case a print needs to be remade, and then delete them.

What stays in your browser

• Your bought card list is saved in this browser’s storage, so building the same mosaic again unlocks it without paying twice.
• Your finished files are passed from the page where you built the mosaic to the thank-you page through the same browser storage.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes both.

Who handles your information

• Stripe, for payments and receipts.
• Printful, for printing and shipping, only if you buy a print.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores the order records and print files.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typeface, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.

We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing.

Children

The shop is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Questions, copies and deletion

To ask what we hold about you, for a copy of it, or for it to be deleted sooner, email [email protected]. Stripe and Printful keep their own records of payments and shipments, which they are required to hold for a while by law.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
